Dodge Company will present an updated version of the popular SUV Durango with an index SRT in 2018. Index SRT means that under the hood of this car there will be a powerful 6.4 liters eight-cylinder engine. This power unit can easily accelerate Durango from zero to hundreds in just 5 seconds.
The car will be equipped with a powerful 6.4 V8 engine Hemi. Now this 6.4-liter engine is used in other models of the American brand – Grand Cherokee SRT, Challenger SRT and Charger SRT. Current version of the Durango has a 5.7-liter V8 engine generating 360 horsepower and 529 Nm of torque.

It is expected that the new unit will increase the Dodge Durango power up to 475 hp and up to 637 Nm of torque. Presumably, the car with this installation will be able to accelerate from zero to hundreds in less than five seconds. This means that the car will get good opportunities to overcome off-road as well as for more rapid and dynamic ride. Fuel consumption remains unknown meanwhile. It is noted that the Dodge Durango SRT will get a sport suspension, new aerodynamic body kit, massive wheels and upgraded brakes.
