Recently it became known that the Dodge is preparing a “charged” version of the Durango model, which will get an additional index SRT. Appearance of the novelty is expected next year, and today the high-performance crossover prototype was spotted at the parking. Although in general the car does not differ from the current three-row model, the new vehicle received an aggressive front part partially hidden under the camouflage.
Cross grille disappeared and under tin foil there are ventilation holes or fog lights on the sides at the bottom part of the front bumper. In the end, this may be the prototype of the usual restyled Durango.
As expected, the “charged” SUV will get a full aerodynamic kit that includes an aggressive hood and athletic body panels. It is expected to see new racing wheels. Dodge Durango SRT will be equipped with 475-horsepower engine, which is now installed in the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, although Hellcat models are equipped with the 6.2-liter V8 turbine unit, developing 707 hp.
